Holistic Moms at the Green Festival

Last weekend, Nov. 12-13th, was the Green Festival in San Francisco. This is one of the largest events showcasing sustainable, reusable, and eco friendly options for home, family, and food. It is an event that the Holistic Moms Network has participated in for several years. For the last 2 festivals, the Bay Area HMN chapters: San Francisco, East Bay, Marin, San Mateo, Tri-City, San Jose, Morgan Hill, Monterey, and American River join together to host the Comfort Station – a quiet space for nursing mothers, changing diapers, and young children to play.

Here’s a picture of our quiet nursing/changing area – for those that want a little more privacy

An overview of the info we had for everyone – flyers/info for all Bay Area chapters, HMN brochures and info, the HMN Cookbooks, and an awesome raffle prize!

I love seeing all the members and leaders of other chapters, learning new things from each other, and exchanging ideas. I get as much out of the Green Festival as I do chatting with other chapter members! So much fun. But the best part of it all is joining together to let others know about Holistic Moms Network. It’s truly amazing that all of our chapters can get together and put together the Comfort Station. Some chapter members have to drive over an hour just to get to the event. It shows how dedicated they are to our organization and speaks wonders of the people involved. I’m so thrilled that we could meet so many moms, dads, family members, and care givers who could see our love and dedication.

HMN is truly more than just a moms group. We are like minded moms who are dedicated to supporting, nurturing, and aiding each other in our holistic journeys, whatever they may be. To let people know we exist and are there for them when needed is awesome and I am thrilled to be a part of it! Can’t wait for the next one!
