Are you concerned that your children might be bullied? Want to learn the signs of bullying? Learn what cyber-bullying is and how to prevent it?

Join the San Jose Chapter as expert, Kristen Wright, LMFT and Tamara Wade, LCSW discusses bullying/cyber-bullying. What is bullying, how to see the signs, how to help our children prevent situations or to handle difficult situations, and how to discuss this with schools and other parents involved. Bullying has been prolific for a long time and, even with all the news and media, it still prevails. Help learn how to ensure your children are safe.Kristen Wright, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family counselor who work with many kids/teens/ & adults who have suffered bullying. She serves a variety of individuals within different settings, such as school-based counseling, residential care, juvenile hall and probation, emergency shelters, and a variety of non-profit agencies, while supporting adults, families, adolescents, and children from a variety of multicultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and different physical/mental/emotional development needs. Ms. Wright is also co-leading “Project Cornerstone”, an anti-bully program.

Tamara Wade, LCSW has been a practicing therapist since 2000. Ms. Wade has worked with adults and adolescents with substance use, trauma, mood disorders and family issues. For several years, Ms. Wade has worked with incarcerated adults and youth providing alternatives in the community. In addition to work experience, Ms. Wade has had numerous trainings in the realm of trauma, substance use, and high risk behavior in youth, family therapy, mood disorders and various mental health issues. Currently Ms. Wade has a private practice in Los Gatos, California specializing in teens and families and women’s issues. In addition, Ms. Wade is still employed with the County of Santa Clara facilitating an outpatient program for adolescent girls with the focus being trauma and substance use. On a personal note, Ms. Wade is parenting 2 teen girls.
